Private beta
What to expect during the beta.
Beaten's private beta is designed for a small, feedback-focused group. Some integrations, catalog coverage, and service guarantees are still being proven.
Your journal works on its own
Manual tracking is the core experience. You can record status, platform-specific playthroughs, playtime, completion, Mastered, ratings, reviews, and lists without connecting Steam or another provider.
An optional sync is an attributed observation. It cannot replace dates, ratings, reviews, playtime, or milestones you entered yourself, and disabling or disconnecting a provider does not remove your manual journal.
Catalog and integrations are evolving
- Some games, editions, release dates, artwork, storefronts, or regional details may be missing or corrected during the beta.
- Steam sync may be unavailable, paused, or enabled for only part of the beta cohort while reliability and provider limits are verified.
- Provider-free tracking remains available when an integration is disabled or degraded.
Availability is beta-level
The service may change, slow down, or pause for maintenance while capacity, recovery, and rollback procedures are exercised. The beta does not include a guaranteed uptime or response-time commitment.
Beaten is currently a responsive web product. A separate native mobile application is not part of this private beta.
Accessibility review continues
Automated keyboard, contrast, zoom, reduced-motion, reflow, and WCAG checks cover critical flows. Manual testing with representative screen readers and devices is still part of each release approval, so please report anything that prevents you from completing a task.
Share useful details, never secrets
- Use the support address included with your beta invitation and include your public handle, page, approximate time, and what you expected to happen.
- Include the request ID from an error or the Beaten Sync ID from Settings > Connections when one is shown.
- Never send a password, session cookie, provider credential, authorization header, or private account export. Support will not ask for them.
